On my flight to Shanghai I saw this air stewardess who have a very sian look on her face, and when she was demostrating how to put on the life jacket it was so obvious that she was not interested in serving us... Later during breakfast, she asked my mother: "You want a western style breakfast or eastern style?" So my mum asked what was for western, and she said: "Noodles, eggs..." When asked what was for eastern, the answer was again: "Noodles, eggs..." So my mother was confused, and looked at her... Now she got irritated, and raising her voice, said again: "Noodles, eggs..." Luckily my mum finally understood her and asked for noodles, or else, maybe something nasty will happen...

First day in China, and already feeling not used to the place alr... Nearly lost my way in Shanghai... Looking at all the various slogons make me feel out of place in this place, like, lost your way in your supposed to be own home... Some more I felt that the years of orderly life in Singapore are being disrupted by the disorganisation in China, like I never have a problem with crossing a road at a traffic light, but here the cars will fight with you to cross... Constantly on the lookout for traffic, bicycles etc...

In Su Zhou now, just finished the designated route for today... Su Zhou give me the feeling of being more organised than Shanghai, and the environment here is less pressurising than that of Shanghai... Generally it gives a feeling of relaxation... Tmr continuing to Hang Zhou... Looking forward to a great day at The West Lake... Hope I can find another place to update tmr...

Will be going to China on holiday soon... SAF dun allow me to take extended leave, so this trip will be really short (14 days)... This trip includes a tour package to 杭州, 苏州, 无锡, 南京, and finally my home city 上海... Won't be online for quite long from next tuesday onwards...

Went for two route marches in the past two weeks, a 28k at east coast park and a 32k at tekong... The ECP route march made sick of the place, probably it will be so for a long time, unless, of course, there are other motivations to go there... Saw a bunch of RJ guys and gals biking there at about 11pm, wondering what are they doing there instead of mugging, then it dawned upon me that they are probably J1s who have just finished promos... How I envy them... Good thing is, I have not done a route march for probably at least four months, so being able to accomplish the route march was quite an achievement for me... The tekong one was much less exciting, for my platoon hor lanned (got lost) from the start point to the first rest point... We marched 8k before finally taking a rest... It turned out that the HQ pple forgot to set up the rest point... Wonder what those pple with the crab on their shoulders are doing, made such a MAJOR error... On the way we ran into a couple of recruits prowling... Enjoy boys, the NS life is just starting... Then the HQ pple screwed up again and forgot to set up another rest point at the 24k point... Suckers... Stupid crabs... After 24k, crossed a river in the middle of the night, and rested for about 2 hrs... And finally chiong to the last point... Finally, went to the range to shoot before going back and sleep the next two days away... Song bo...

And i finally passed IPPT... Yes lah... Can take leave now... And no more RT on saturday morning...
