Back from Bedok Camp... Its the old camp with bulidings that look as if they were built 50 years ago... But its clean and usable (of course the free labourers have been cleaning it)... Well, guards training is tough, but the recognition and respect that you get after passing out is really great... Anw my passing out is on 27 April, which leaves me something to look forward to really...

Something to the people who have not start serving NS yet, if you want:
1. Really very siong training and lots of respect, go commando
2. Very siong training and lots of respect, go OCS
3. Siong training and respect, go guards or SISPEC
4. Siong training and little recognition, go combat engineer or signaller
5. Quite slack life and respect, go air force
6. Slack life and no respect, go service (storeman, driver etc.)
7. Complete slack life, cao keng NS, or change sex to a girl...

Going to POP liao lor!!! 15 weeks in this remote, uncivilised and unique island called Palau Tekong leaves memories that will never be washed away... 15 weeks of army life makes people change, makes them think about their "habits", their behaviours... Its more of a learning journey than a torture camp... You know who are those that are really concerned about you, those who will forget about you... You learn about all kinds of people that existed in this world, and learn to like some of them, to hate some of them... And you know who are the ones that are important in your life, and who are just passing friends that you meet at a check point on the journey of life... You know your real abilities, your skills of life, your strengths and weaknesses that you never get to see during school days... Its a learning camp...

Good luck to all who are going to receive their posting... Hope that all will get where they want to go...
