Things to take note if you are the emperor and want to avoid a palace struggle...1. Make sure your emperoress really love you and not end up in some incestuous with your son or nephew...
2. Make sure you do not have to many sons...
3. Make sure only one of your sons are really capable and the rest are dimwits...
4. Make sure you have elite guards, just in case...
5. Becareful of what others feed you...
6. Becareful of what you feed others...
7. Be nice to your sons...

Just finished the Hong Lou Meng concert... Actually no big deal, played those songs many times liao... Just as I was going to fall asleep on stage, Zang Hua Ying is going to start... So we all got our instruments ready, and the choir got ready, and... The conductor is MIA... The host then invited Wang Li Ping on stage, where he went yaking away for like, half an hour... The good thing is, the audience is amused... The bad thing is, we cannot really hear what he is saying (coz of the stage)... Worse still, everyone's mood kena disturbed, and the poor choir got to stand for that long (and going to stand for another half an hour, imaging the lao a ma and lao a bei inside there)... So he went yaking and yaking, and we dun know when he is going to finish... So everyone start looking sian... And dun know why the audience laughing also... Luckily he din drag on until we all fall asleep... So the song went well, and we played well, and the audience is impressed, and asked for encore... So after one encore piece, they got the lao Wang Li Ping up again to sing Da Hai Ah, Gu Xiang... Surprisingly he can sing... Mega bass... Well, what you expect of an old man... Ok... Reminds me of Guo Rui... Hahaha...

Finally, today is my one year of service in this stupid, f***ed up and lousy institution called the SAF (some say it stands for Singapore Acting Force, coz they like to wayang)... One more year to go before I am a free man again... Yes lah... ORD Loh!!!Come to think of it, I din dream that the year will pass so fast... Still remember the time when I first stepped into Pulau Tekong, the strange environment, the pretend-to-be-nice-but-are-actually-recruit-eating-sergeants, the gangster-looking (and gangster-acting) platoon mate who turned out to be my buddy (eh I din choose the buddy myself, and I still dun like him a lot)... The screaming voices, the knock-it-downs, the f***ings, the wake-up-your-ideas... Not forgetting the field camp, the fall-in-your-ration-packs, the fall-in-your-pack-number-1-2-3-4, the arty arty, the sinper, the contacted, the big spider, the most-hated (and still is) camo cream... Not forgetting the 2.4 pass, the first time I broke zero for chin-up, the jump across 216cm, the struggle to get over the low wall and up the low rope (why do people like to call high things low?)... Not forgetting the "pain is over, pride is forever', the POP Loh, the last ferry out of Tekong as REC Lin Yundi, the final time when you do not have to send in the rifle you drew... Not forgetting the cursing when I saw I kena posted to 1 GDS as a GDSMAN, the super old and run-down building beside the new buildings, the gangster-looking (again) platoon mates, the number of IPPT passes out of 42 (there were 5), the double decker bed, the stinky toliet, the gate at the staircase (where I ram my head into), the first rappling, the 2km swim in the sea, the fast marches, the first time being declared down and carried back by 5 pple, the earlt morning turnout and tekang session... Not forgetting the other turnout, the morning PT afternoon PT noon zuo bo times, the whole-company-area-cleaning-done-by-my-platoon, the SIW (soldier in wonderland) times, the DOTA sessions, the experience of ammo tech storeman at live range, the 50 days excuse lower limb, the snake attack and the fall out of the kang chiong man (my hand cramp ah!!!)... Not forgetting the 32km route march, the CCAC package (wanna get dripped?), the fire at the live range, the we-sit-in-camp-watch-you-all-go-Brunei, the trip back to China, the first proper turnout, the turn ops parade, the underslung training...
Looking forward to another year to spice up my live, but still, SAF is not a nice place to be in...
